Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced on Tuesday that Fifth Third Bank will serve as primary sponsor to Graham Rahal’s No.15 Honda entry for the Bammarito Automotive Group 500 at Gateway Motorsports Park later this month.
Fifth Third Bank are into their second year as an associate partner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and in May this year they extended the partnership for three more years. Earlier this season Fifth Third Bank served as primary sponsor to Oriol Servia’s No.16 RLL Honda for the double header in Detroit which were both won by his then team mate Graham Rahal.
Speaking about the announcement, group regional president of Fifth Third Bank, Steven Alonso commented by saying:
We are excited to be a part of the return of Indy car racing at Gateway Motorsports Park. “We are proud to be partnering with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing as a primary sponsor; and are looking forward to seeing Graham Rahal behind the wheel of the No. 15 Fifth Third Bank car at the Bommarito Automotive Group 500.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing co-owner Bobby Rahal commented by saying:
As we announced in May, we are thrilled to have extended and increased our relationship with Fifth Third Bank. “Having them as the primary sponsor of Graham’s car for the race outside St. Louis is part of that as was having them as the primary sponsor on Oriol Servia’s entry in Detroit. Of the markets the series races in, the St. Louis market is definitely an important one to Fifth Third Bank and we are proud to showcase the company on Graham’s entry there.
The Verizon IndyCar Series takes a little break before the next race, the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Graham Rahal heads to that event following another strong performance at his home track in Mid-Ohio on Sunday where he finished on the podium in third place behind race winner Josef Newgarden and second placed Will Power.
