Firestone Racing have confirmed that they are bringing more than 1,200 tires to the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway this weekend at the Tricky Triangle.

Each entrant in the Verizon IndyCar Series will receive 13 sets of tires for the weekend. Juan Pablo Montoya holds the speed record at the Tricky Triangle from 2014 where he set a speed of 202.402MPH.

Chief Engineer with Bridgestone Americas Motorsports Cara Adams commented by saying:

The unique challenge for this 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle” is to bring tires that can work well in each of the very different corners. “To meet this challenge, Firestone engineers have chosen a similar formula for Pocono as in years past. We will use the 2017 Indianapolis left side tires along with the same right side superspeedway tire that was run at Pocono in 2016 and also at Iowa this year.
