Firestone Racing has confirmed that will bring more than 1,500 tires to Barber Motorsports Park for this weekend’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

Each driver will receive eight sets of the black PRIMARY tires, seven allocated and one set left over from the Barber open test.

Four sets of the Alternate red walled tire.

Five sets of the Grey walled tire

Speaking about the race this weekend, chief engineer of Firestone Racing Cara Adams commented by saying:

“After testing at Barber Motorsports Park with the new aero kit late last year, the Firestone Race Engineering team will be supplying a similar primary tire specification to 2017. “Our new alternate compound will be softer with more grip.”
