Firestone, the official tyre supplier to the Verizon IndyCar Series announced on Thursday that they have extended the sponsorship agreement with St Petersburg which will them continue to serve as the title sponsor of the Grand Prix of St Petersburg until the end of 2020.
The Grand Prix of St Petersburg is the perfect place for Firestone to showcase their racing tyres and they great with fan interaction and engagement.
Speaking about the new deal, Director of Bridgestone Americas Motorsports Lisa Boggs commented by saying:
We are proud to continue our title sponsorship of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg through 2020. “The streets of St. Petersburg are an ideal proving ground to showcase the durable, dependable technology built into Firestone tires. The support from the city and its residents, along with the team at Green Savoree Racing Promotions, has made this one of the marquee events on the Verizon IndyCar® Series circuit.
The Firestone Grand Prix takes place this weekend and marks the first race of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season.
