Firestone and Green Savoree Racing Promotions announced on Friday ahead of this weekend’s 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season ending Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg that they have extended their partnership which will see Firestone continue as the title sponsor to the Grand Prix of St Petersburg through to the end of 2023.
Firestone are in a unique position in that they have a wrap around event as the season ends on Sunday while the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season starts with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg on Sunday March 7. Firestone have deep roots in Tampa Bay and St Petersburg that date back to 1933.
Firestone’s title partnership of the Grand Prix of St Petersburg began in 2014 making their partnership with St Petersburg on of the longest standing partnerships in the NTT IndyCar Series.
Speaking about Friday’s announcement, Director of Bridgestone Americas Motorsports Lisa Boggs said:

Firestone are in their 21st consecutive season as sole tire supplier to the NTT IndyCar Series and speaking about their contract extension with Firestone, Green Savoree Racing Promotions co-owner, chairman and CEO Kim Green commented saying:

The NTT IndyCar Series will crown their 2020 champion this weekend in the final race of the season for the 15th year in a row and for the first time on the Streets of St Pete.
