The Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, presented by RP Funding, the opening race of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, is just seven weeks away.
On Friday, the newest NTT INDYCAR SERIES team launched with PREMA Racing, unveiling their cars for the upcoming season. PREMA Racing confirmed that former Juncos Hollinger Racing driver Romain Grosjean will serve as the team’s official reserve driver in 2025 alongside their race drivers, Robert Schwartzman and Callum Ilott.
Fox Sports is the new broadcaster covering the series, replacing NBC Sports. Paddock Eye understands that Fox will reveal its talent line-up on Monday ahead of INDYCAR Content Days, which take place in Indianapolis on Tuesday and Wednesday.
INDYCAR has introduced a charter system, with 25 guaranteed entries for each race of the season, except for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, which takes place on Sunday, May 25. Since they are new to the series, PREMA Racing has not been granted a charter for 2025.
Chevrolet has added two cars with PREMA Racing. This year, there will be 27 full-time drivers in the field. Dale Coyne Racing is the only team that has yet to confirm its lineup for this season.
