Firestone Racing’s Dorector of race tire production and chief engineer Cara Adams says the company are happy with the feedback that they have been getting from the new drivers who have joined the NTT IndyCar Series for the 2021 season.
Chip Ganassi Racing have signed seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson to drive the No.48 Carvana/NTT Honda for road and street courses and has been providing great feedback.
Scott McLaughlin joins the NTT IndyCar Series with Team Penske having made the transition at the end of last season competing for Team Penske in the season ending Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
McLaughlin will drive the No.3 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet during the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season.
Romain Grosjean made his NTT IndyCar Series debut at Barber Motorsports Park earlier this week after signing up to join Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing in the No.51 Honda.
Grosjean will be back on track next week at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca as the NTT IndyCar Series gets ready for the 2021 season which gets underway in just over a month’s time with the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama which takes place from April 16-18.
Speaking to Paddock Eye this week, Cara Adams said that Firestone have spoken to all of the drivers in the series and they have been happy with the feedback they have received.
