Firestonw Racing are ready for the Hy-Vee Iowa double-header NTT INDYCAR SERIES race weekend with two races at Iowa Speedway.

Each entry receives 14 sets of the Firestone Firehawk race tire.

Firestone is supplying more than 1,500 race tires to teams and drivers for the doubleheader weekend at the 0.875-mile oval track described by drivers as a bullring with lap times of just over 18 seconds. On-track action will include one 90-minute practice on Friday, a two-lap qualifying session, and then two 250-lap (223.5 miles) races. Each entry will receive the following Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 race tire allocation:

Primary (black sidewall): 14 sets per entry

The 2023 Iowa tires have the same construction and compound as last year’s race tires, with a slight construction change to the right-side tires to allow for smoother pressure distribution in the footprint.

Cara Krstolic, Chief Engineer:

Iowa Speedway is a unique track. Firestone Racing engineers use a combination of Indianapolis’ oval left-side and superspeedway right-side constructions to tackle the load and banking, as well as the very bumpy surface.
