Firestone Racing have confirmed that they will bring over 1,600 tires to this weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Each driver will receive six sets of the black Primary tire. Following the opening practice session, each entrant will return one set of tires and the same after the second practice session.
Each entrant will also receive 4 sets of the red Alternate tire. The Alternate tire is only used during road and street course events.
Firestone have also allocated five sets of the grey walled rain tire to each entrant. At the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, Scott Dixon, driving the No.9 GE LED Lighting Honda captured the Firestone pit-stop Performance Award with a total pit-lane time of 1 minute 36 seconds.
