The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to California this weekend for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, round three of the 2018 season.
We have have seen two different winners in the opening two races with the Honda powered Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser Racing team winning the season opener at St Pete with Sebastien Bourdais while last time out in Phoenix, defending series champion Josef Newgarden from Team Penske with Chevrolet power.
Firestone Racing are bringing more than 1,500 tires to the event this weekend with each driver will receive seven sets of the black Primary tire, four sets of the red Alternate tire and five sets of grey Rain tire,
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s race, chief engineer with Firestone Racing, Cara Adams commented by saying:
The Firestone Race Engineering team will bring the same race-proven tires to Long Beach as were used at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. “We saw close racing with the new aero kit in the season-opening race, and expect the same on the streets of Long Beach.
