Turn 3 Motorsport driver Adam Fitzgerald who recently signed with the team to compete for them in the USF Pro 2000 championship in 2024 says that his goal is to make it to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in the future and that making his debut for the Peter Dempsey-led team next year is the first step in making that goal a reality.
Speaking to Paddock Eye on Wednesday, Fitzgerald said that he hopes that his experience racing on road courses in Europe will assist him in hitting the ground running in the U.S.
The Irishman recently tested for Turn 3 Motorsport and ended up fastest and he hopes that he can take this momentum into the new chapter in his racing career. Fitzgerald also credits Andretti Global INDY NXT presented by Firestone driver and fellow Irishman James Roe with helping him to decide to move to the U.S.
Fitzgerald said that he had looked a pursuing a career in Formula One and continuing his progression within the European ladder series like F3 and F2 but that financially it didn’t make sense as it has become more expensive to race in Europe and the sponsorship is just not readily available whereas racing in the NTT INDYCAR appeals to him.
