Turn 3 Motorsports USFPRO2000 rookie driver Adam Fitzgerald says he expected more from himself this weekend following the Irishman’s disappointing series debut at the 2024 season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding.
In race one on the streets of St. Pete, Fitzgerald started the race from 17th place and came home in 15th and last of those who finished the race. In race 2 on Sunday, he started the race from P18 and came home in 14th place.
Speaking following the action, he said:
“I expected more from myself this weekend when considering the performance of the team who did a great job. “I’ll put that one down to it being my first street course and not racing for almost a year, but that excuse is now expired. I expect to be fighting at the front in NOLA and that’s what I’ll be working toward with the team!”
The USFPRO2000 championship takes a break for nearly a month, with the next race set to take place in April from 5-7 at NOLA Motorsports Park
