The Ford Motor Company say they are extremely proud to wrapped up the 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Manufacturers championship early following Ryan Blaney’s second place finish at Martinsville Speedway.
The win was Mustang’s first since returning to NASCAR competition in 2019.
Ford’s last manufacturers championship win came in 2018 and speaking about the, Ford Performance Global Director of Motorsports Mark Rushbrook said:
We’re in motorsports to win races and championships, so to clinch this year’s manufacturers’ championship before the end of the season with all of the challenges everyone in the sport has faced is a real source of pride.
