Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner doubts that Ferrari will quit Formula One despite the Italian marque making a threat to quit the sport over the new regulations regarding engines which are due to come into affect in 2021.

Horner believes that with the Fiat Crysler’s increased involvement in Formula One with the return of the Alfa Romeo name to the sport for the first time in over 30 years thanks to their new technical and commercial link up with Sauber, Ferrari will remain in the sport.

Horner said:

Formula One needs Ferrari and Ferrari need Formula One.

Ferrari were back challenging for the championship in 2017 with Sebastian Vettel battling for the title with Mercedes Lewis Hamilton however the German lost out on his fifth championship to Hamilton.
