Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson says the that he developed mental toughness during his time in Formula One.

Speaking to Paddock Eye on Sunday after winning his first Indianapolis 500, Ericsson in the No.8 Huski Chocolate Honda told us that running at the back of the grid in Formula One taught him about hardwork.

Ericsson also credited his teammates at Chip Ganassi Racing for helping him during the month of May particularly Jimmie Johnson who has vast amounts of experience around this race track.

Ericsson told us that Jimmie has been a great asset to the team and he is looking for to Detrout this weekend.
