Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey believes that more should be done to make Formula One more of an even playing field.

One of idea that has been suggested that Newey would not object to is an outright ban on the use of wind-tunnels to develop cars. Newey believes that the sport should be more about the drivers battling each other and engineering creativity.

The man behind Red Bull Racing’s success went on to say that the hyrbid era of Formula One had little or no relevance to road car technology and felt that the manufacturers in the sport who said there was were being hollow.

Newey stepped back from Formula One in recent years to concentrate on other projects including designing the Aston Martin RB001 hyper car.

Newey also believes that a budget cap is unworkable and that regulations should be brought in to restrict development of the cars.
