McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown believes that Formula One will become more fan friendly and freer over the next decade following the Liberty Media takeover of the sport.
On Monday it was announced that Liberty Media has taken control of Formula One and they have replaced Bernie Ecclestone as CEO with Chase Carey. Mr Brown who took up his role at McLaren late last year believes that there will be a new generation of fans introduced to the sport.
Brown spoke about fan interaction and he believes that the sport needs to engage with fans more and he knows that Liberty Media understand this situation. Brown went on to say that the sport should pay tribute to Bernie Ecclestone who has helped make the sport the global success that it s today.
The new owners immediately got to work on Monday by announcing that Ross Brawn is returning to Formula One as Managing Director of Motorsport.
