Sergio Perez picked up his maiden Formula One victory on Sunday in Bahrain and while the Mexican doesn’t have a seat for 2021 he could end up in IndyCar.
It is possible that Perez who says he has F1 options for 2022 could take his considerable sponsorship money to the US with AJ Foyt Racing his possible destination.
Perez has expressed an interest in competing the NTT IndyCar Series and Paddock Eye understands that Foyt are on the lookout for a driver.
AJ Foyt Racing have signed Sebastien Bourdais for a full-time return to the NTT IndyCar Series while Dalton Kellett is expected to stay on with the team so Perez could potentially slot in alongside the Canadian.
It is not yet known what Charlie Kimball has planned for 2021 so Perez could possibly share the No.4 Chevrolet with the Californian who indeed take it over.
Time will tell but the Mexican has plenty of options available for a move to the NTT IndyCar Series in 2021.
