AJ Foyt Racing could be an option for James Hinchcliffe who is currently looking for a full time drive in the NTT IndyCar Series for 2020 after Arrow McLaren SP announced on Wednesday that the Canadian will not race for them next season.
The Mayor of HinchTown would bring so great exposure to AJ Foyt Racing who are looking to rebuild following a disappointing season in 2019 which saw the team lose the full time back of ABC Supply.
Paddock Eye understands that while Tony Kanaan will remain with Foyt next season the same can not be said for Mathues Matt Leist who is expected to be replaced.
Having two experienced drivers for 2020 would make sense for Foyt and with Hinch they would be able to attract new sponsors such a Petro Canada along with other sponsors.
Hinch may have ties to Honda but at the stage in the year it seems unlikely that he will be able to land a fulltime drive with a Honda powered team.
