Chip Ganassi Racing’s Tony Kanaan has confirmed that AJ Foyt Racing are one of a number of teams that he is talking to about a seat for in the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2018.
Speaking during a live fan Q&A at Sonoma Raceway on race day morning, the Brazilian confirmed he will be in the Verizon IndyCar Series full-time next season.
Kanaan has endured a tough 2017 season and has confirmed that he will not be a Chip Ganassi Racing driver next season.
Speaking on Saturday at Sonoma, Kanaan said he had not spoken to Chip about his future and that he has heard rumors that someone else will drive the No.10 Honda in 2018.
Kanaan will start today’s Verizon IndyCar Series season finale GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma from 12th place.
