AJ Foyt Racing President Larry Foyt says that Tatiana Calderon, who tested for the team at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course is being considered for a potential drive with the team in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2022 following her impressive test.

Speaking to Paddock Eye on Thursday, Calderon said that she will see what the future holds but really enjoyed her test, having a blast. Speaking to Motorsport.com, Foyt said that he visited different parts of the track while Tatiana was out on track and was very impressed with her car control and her steering inputs.

Foyt has also revealed that the team is set to hold talks with a number of their sponsors in relation to next season’s program and one of those sponsors is ROKiT who is Sebastien Bourdais’ primary sponsor and a sponsor of Tatiana Calderon’s and helped to facilitate the test.

Foyt has also revealed that the team is looking at a number of drivers who are free agents at the end of this season. James Hinchcliffe is out of contract with Andretti Autosport at the end of the season and the Candian could be one driver that the team could look at however, it is unlikely given the fact that Hinch has such a big connection with Honda.
