AJ Foyt Racing has been on an upward trend over the past two seasons. In 2024, Foyt’s Santino Ferrucci finished the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in ninth place in the championship and scored the team’s first NTT P1 Award since 2014 when he scored a pole for the BitNile.com Grand Prix of Portland.
AJ Foyt Racing has a technical alliance with Team Penske, which helped the team throughout the season. The team also had the help of Michael Cannon over the past two seasons when he acted as their head of engineering. Cannon has moved on to PREMA.
Sting Ray Robb led the Indianapolis 500 in May, which was fantastic for the team led by President Larry Foyt, who has worked incredibly hard to bring Foyut back to where they should be, and that is fighting at the front of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES field. David Malukas joins Santino Ferrucci at the team for 2025 and hopes he can match Santino Ferrucci and bring Foyt forward even more.
The key thing for AJ Foyt Racing in 2024 was that the team was consistent with top-ten finishes for Santino Ferrucci. This is something that they hope will continue this trend in 2025 and move further up the grid.
Foyt has also consolidated its operation to its race shop in Speedway, Indiana, just up the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which will assist the team in their operations.
