AJ Foyt Racing are set to switch to Chevrolet power in the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2017, although no contract has been signed just yet.
Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed last week that they will switch to Honda next season with Tony Kanaan testing the Honda powered No.10 NTT DATA car at Gateway Motorsports Park on Thursday.
The news that Chevrolet were no longer with Ganassi meant that Chevrolet were available to supply another team.
AJ Foyt Racing team president Larry Foyt has confirmed that the team will not announce their driver line up for next season until their engine contract is sorted. The news means that Takuma Sato will be out of the team but it is believed that Honda may try to put Sato in the fourth Andretti Autosport car or possibly the second Dale Coyne Racing car alongside Sebastien Bourdais.
It is believed that AJ Foyt Racing are in talks with Juan Pablo Montoya and Conor Daly along with a number of other drivers.
