Former Formula One driver Mark Webber believes that his good friend, double world champion Fernando Alonso might not see out the 2017 season with McLaren.
Webber says that Alonso is frustrated as hell with the lack of competitiveness with McLaren and the lack of progress with Honda.
Speaking following last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix, Webber revealed that Alonso is no where near where he wants to be mentally. The Spaniard is into the final year of his three year contract with the Woking based outfit.
Should Alonso indeed leave McLaren, Jenson Button would return to the cockpit following his retirement from Formula One as he has remained the team as test and reserve driver.
