The 2021 FIA World Rally Championship season may have one event left with the deciding ACI Rally Italy taking place next month however, that hasn’t stopped preparations for 2022 ramping up.

Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans may be battling it out for the championship over at the M-Sport Ford WRC Team, Craig Breen and Paul Nagle have been flat out developing the new hybrid era Ford Puma WRC car that they will compete full-time in next season.

Meanwhile, over at Hyundai, Thierry Neuville says that the three-day private test that he and the team completed in Italy was very helpful in learning what the new car will be like on rally stages.

The new regulations will see drivers utilising fully electric power during selected rally stages over the course of the season.
