If there is one thing I have learnt in my five seasons reporting on the NTT IndyCar Series it is DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE a certain Scott Dixon and Chip Ganassi Racing

The defending series champion may be 94 points behind championship leader Josef Newgarden heading to the Honda Indy Toronto this weekend but don’t let that fool you, if anyone can turn things around it’s Scott Dixon.

The Iceman is the most successful active driver in the NTT IndyCar Series field and has a wonderful team around him.

Dixon does however understand that there is a big task ahead of him and the team if they are to retain their championship in 2019 given how competitive the NTT IndyCar Series is at the moment.

Team Penske and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi have been extremely strong in 2019, a point that is not lost on Dixon.

Dixon can draw on the success and experience he has to help him claw back lost ground because when his back is against the wall he keeps his cool and gets the job done and that is why he is the Iceman.
