Chip Ganassi Racing Managing Director Mike Hull says the teams three drivers, Marcus Ericsson, Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist have worked extremely hard over the past weeks during COVID 19 lockdown with the NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge as one unit and that as a team they expect that they are ready to race in an effectively at the highest level.

The NTT IndyCar Series announced last week that they will return to real world racing on Saturday June 6 at Texas Motor Speedway for the Genesys 300 which will be run as a single day event with no spectators as a TV only event.

Speaking to Paddock Eye, Hull said:

All 3 of our drivers have worked hard as one via virtual racing in a similar manner to what will be seen @TXMotorSpeedway June 6th under the lights; Marcus, Felix, and Scott have worked to understand each other w/a look at drivestyle interaction for the past few weeks; our expectation is that they are ready to race effectively at the highest level; More important is that it represents #IndyCar for our Partners & Fans @NBCCaronNBC; the last few weeks of @irracing the driver’s perspective of the aeroscreen has been in full view, so overall really excited to be given an opportunity given by @eddiegossage to be able to race in the public’s eye.
