Chip Ganassi says that he is open to the idea of running his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson in the Indianapolis 500 at some point in the future.

Ganassi has however said that any deal for Larson to race in the Indianapolis 500 has to make sense to the driver and the team before they decide on whether or not to run the talented American in the Verizon IndyCar Series flagship event.

Ganassi currently runs four full time Honda powered cars in the Verizon IndyCar Series and has confirmed that putting a entry together for Larson at Indianapolis this season will not happen as the organisation do not want to upset what is going on with Larson in NASCAR at the moment.

Kyle Larson currently leads the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with one victory and three second place finishes in the first six races of the season.
