Chip Ganassi Racing were at Sonoma Raceway on Tuesday for a Verizon IndyCar Series test ahead of this weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The outfit confirmed earlier today that Scott Dixon’s No.9 Honda will run with NTT DATA as its primary sponsor for round 2 of the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season. The New Zealander goes into the race weekend off the back of a third place finish at the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
The team have been extremely bust since the opening race of the year as they were at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a pre-Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place at the end of next month along with today’s Sonoma test.
Dixon will be hoping that he and Chip Ganassi Racing can keep the momentum going forward from the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg into this weekend’s race as a result of his third place finish in race one.
