Chip Ganassi Racing have confirmed that they will announce who will drive the No.8 Verizon IndyCar Honda for 2017 on Wednesday.
Ganassi, who have already confirmed Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Charlie Kimball for 2017 had a four car team in 2016 when Max Chilton drove for the team alongside the Ganassi regulars.
It is unclear who will drive the No.8 Honda which was driven by Chilton with Gallagher sponsorship in 2016.
The team’s initial test with Honda power following the end of the of season went really well as Tony Kanaan carried out systems checks. Ganassi Racing will be in action later this week as preparations for the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series continue.
