Dale Coyne Racing with RWR’s new driver Luca Ghiotto will make his NTT INDYCAR SERIES race debut from 21st place having out-qualified his teammate Jack Harvey.

Ghiotto set a fastest time of 1:06.4788s and speaking following the action he said:

It was a crazy experience. I’m happy because we kept improving, even now in qualifying we were closer to the top. The car felt good. Of course, there’s some more in myself as I still need to fully be on the limit of the car. I feel like already being 11th and putting some cars behind us is a decent result and is honestly far more than I expected. It’s been a crazy learning curve from Friday morning, and I just can’t wait for the race. With 90 laps in the race there’s plenty of time to learn more.”

Jack Harvey starts the race from 22nd place and speaking following the action he said:

“I’m frustrated after that qualifying. I think the car, looking at the pace that we had, realistically I think we could have transferred, and worst case, we would have been seventh. To just get blocked that way at the end of the lap, it not only ruined that lap but also the one after. I don’t know what Pietro was doing, there are two times that he could have moved out of my way, and he didn’t. So I think in the end, the time that we did with four laps on red tires was decent actually. It was a good improvement from last night to today. I’ve done this long enough to know when there’s a car that has the ability to transfer and when we don’t, and we did today. So that was frustrating but the good news, I guess, is because we have progressed, we’ll be better in the race and hopefully the #18 INVST Dale Coyne Honda will once again be a little bit better tomorrow.”
