The Sauber F1 Team’s Antonio Giovinazzi completed 84 laps for the Swiss based outfit on the final day of the opening Formula One test of 2017 at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya in Spain.
Giovinazzi who was filling in for the injured Pascal Wehrlein set the fifth fastest time of the day on the purple Ultra soft Pirelli tyre setting a time of 01:22.401s.
On day 4, the Hinwil based outfit worked on set-up, tyre work and the overall performance of the Ferrari powered C36. The team will be back in action next week at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya in Spain with Pascal Wehrlein expected to drive the car for the first time.
Speaking following the four day of testing, Giovinazzi commented by saying:
It was another positive day. We were able to test different tyre compounds on wet and dry tyres. I am overall satisfied with the two testing days, during which I was able to run a good amount of laps and to gain more experience.
