Ferrari test and reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi was in action for the Sauber F1 Team on day 2 of winter testing at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya in Montmelo Spain on Tuesday.
Giovinazzi who was driving in place of Pascal Wehrelein in the Ferrari powered C36 completed 67 laps and ended the day in ninth place with a fastest time of 01:24.617s and speaking following the day of action he commented by saying:
It was a positive day for me, despite the issues we had in the morning. In the afternoon I was able to get up to speed running a good amount of laps. I want to thank the Sauber F1 Team again for this opportunity. Now I am looking forward to being back in the car tomorrow.
Marcus Ericsson will be back in the car on Wednesday morning while Giovinazzi will be back in the car tomorrow afternoon following the lunch break.
