Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi says he is looking forward to getting help from Formula One veteran and his new Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team mate Kimi Raikkonen next season.
In 2018, Giovinazzi was Ferrari test driver while Raikkonen was racing for the Prancing Horse and he said that they didn’t really talk much then however the pair have signed to race for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for the 2019 season and Giovinazzi said that during the Abu Dhabi end of season tyre test he and Raikkonen had a very long and productive discussion.
Giovinazzi has just two Grand Prix starts to his name while Raikkonen has 292 starts and will make his 300th Grand Prix start at the 2019 French Grand Prix on June 23rd.
Giovinazzi also said that he hopes to draw on the experience of having a world champion as a team mate and he says that Kimi is extremely motivated and looking forward to the new experience with the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team.
As for the Iceman himself, speaking about his former team mate Sebastian Vettel, the Finn said they will remain friends and will probably continue to travel to races together occasionally.
