New Juncos Hollinger Racing driver Romain Grosjean says that he and team owner Ricardo Juncos first held discussions about the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES in Portland in September.
Speaking during a Zoom conference call on Thursday, Grosjean said that further conversations were held at the season-ending Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway.
The French-Swiss driver also confirmed that he spoke to Ricardo Juncos at the U.S Grand Prix in Austin two weeks ago.
Grosjean told Paddock Eye that he is looking forward to racing at the Milwaukee Mile in 2024.
Yeah, super excited about it. I wanted it to come back to the calendar already this year. It’s a cool oval. It’s maybe a little bit more like just a fast road course, high-speed corner, from what I heard from drivers that have been there.
I’m excited that we go back to Milwaukee. I think it’s going to be a great show. Hopefully everyone started from new, from fresh, can give us some help.
Grosjean is unsure of when he will get a chance to test the new hybrid car and says he is jealous of the drivers who have tested the new technology already.
