Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing NTT IndyCar Series driver Romain Grosjean has confirmed that he has had contact from Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff about the Frenchman conducting a farewell F1 test for the Silver Arrows.
Taking to Twitch on Saturday, Grosjean confirmed that he has received a call from Toto Wolff about the possibility of the Frenchman conducting a test however he admitted that for now his priority is the NTT IndyCar Series.
Grosjean, who arrived in the United States earlier this week has had his seat fitting with Dale Coyne Racing and held meetings where he was introduced to his new engineers.
Speaking at the time of his announcement as an NTT IndyCar Series driver, Grosjean confirmed that he had been in email communication with his new race engineer, Olivier Boisson.
Team owner Dale Coyne said at the time of Grosjean’s announcement that at the moment Frenchman is only competing on road and street course events but if things go well he may enter the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May 2022.
