Josef Newgarden in the No.2 Hitachi Team Penske Chevrolet was third fastest with a time of 01:47.8417s ending the day just ahead of Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda with a time of 01:47.8515s ending the day just ahead of Graham Rahl in the No.15 Hy Vee Honda with a time of 01:48.0938s while Colton Herta set a time of 01:48.1407s.
It was a great session for AJ Foyt Racing and Sebastien Bourdais in the No.14 ROKiT Chevrolet set a time of 01:482481s which was good enough for seventh just ahead of Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin in the No.3 PPG Chevrolet with a time of 01:48.2844s ending the session just ahead of Oliver Askew in the No.21 Direct Supply Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet with a time of 01:48.3000s.
Team Penske’s Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Chevrolet rounded out the top ten with a 01:48.3432s rounded out the top ten just ahead of Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet who set a time of 01:48.4251s.
Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda set the 12th fastest time with a 01:48.4412s ending the session just ahead of Takuma Sato in the No.30 MiJack Honda who set a time of 01:48.4566s just ahead of Jack Harvey with a 01:48.6690s.
