Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Romain Grosjean says that he is excited to see what Chevrolet are doing with their engine and Hybrid system after spending the past three season’s in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with Honda.
Speaking to Paddock Eye following the news he will race for Juncos Hollinger Racing in 2024, Grosjean said:
I don’t know. I think INDYCAR generally has done a good job of getting both manufacturer, and both manufacturer have done a good job of trying to get as equal as they can. I think that we know that some — one has got maybe some strengths over the one and vice versa.
For sure I’ve been talking to drivers that have done both. Simon Pagenaud was a good one, came from Penske to Meyer Shank Racing. We had that relationship with Andretti. I could speak with Simon about it.
I’m also excited to discover what the Chevrolet is doing. I think they’ve done really well this season. Obviously we mentioned the hybrid, that’s going to be a challenge for everyone. I’m excited to discover the support. I’m excited to discover the simulator. I’m excited to discover what we can do together and try something new.
Yeah, as I say, I had an amazing time with HPD. I want to thanks them again. I’m excited for the future with Chevrolet.
Looking ahead to the season, Milwaukee coming back, how excited are you to go to Milwaukee with it being a track you haven’t raced at before?
Yeah, super excited about it. I wanted it to come back to the calendar already this year. It’s a cool oval. It’s maybe a little bit more like just a fast road course, high-speed corner, from what I heard from drivers that have been there.
I’m excited that we go back to Milwaukee. I think it’s going to be a great show. Hopefully everyone started from new, from fresh, can give us some help.
