Dale Coyne with Rick Ware Racing’s Romain Grosjean will make his NTT IndyCar Series debut on Monday 22 February at Barber Motorsports Park when he joins his new team mate Ed Jones for his first experience of an IndyCar.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that the ex F1 driver who had a terrible accident during the Bahrain Grand Prix towards the end of the 2020 Formula One season has joined Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing for the upcoming NTT IndyCar Series season which had been due to get underway on March 7 in St Petersburg but has been pushed back to April 18.
Grosjean joins a list of drivers to have made the move from Formula One to IndyCar with Max Chilton, Marcus Ericsson and defending Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato in the current field for the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season.
