NBC Sports Kevin Lee has revealed that former Haas F1 Team driver Romain Grosjean will make his NTT IndyCar Series debut at the season opening IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park driving the No.51 Dale Coyne with Rick Ware Racing Honda.
Grosjean had been linked with AJ Foyt Racing however that move did not materialise with the team bringing in Sebastien Bourdais while Dalton Kellett moves to a full-time ride with AJ Foyt Racing.
Lee revealed that Corey Ware, the son of IMSA team owner Rick Ware will make his NTT IndyCar Series debut competing on the oval tracks.
The news came during NBC Sports coverage of the 2021 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona International Speedway.
Dale Coyne Racing announced a partnership with Rick Ware Racing to form Dale Coyne with Rick Ware Racing on Friday and will confirm their lineup next week.
