Esteban Gutierrez, who made his Verizon IndyCar Series in practice for the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear with Dale Coyne Racing in place of Sebastien Bourdais has confirmed that he would love to compete in the Indianapolis 500.

Gutierrez who drove in Formula One with the Sauber F1 Team and the Haas F1 Team replaces the injured Sebastien Bourdais for the rest of the season as the Frenchman recovers from his multiple fractures.

Speaking during a Verizon IndyCar Series media event at the Detroit Grand Prix, the Mexican commented by saying:

I would love to try the Indy 500, It’s pure driving, pure racing,
