Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Lewis Hamilton took victory in the Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa Francorchamps circuit to close to within seven points of championship leader Sebastian Vettel.
Ferrari’s Vettel, freah from announcing a new deal with the team finished the race in second place while Daniel Ricciardo completed the podium in third place for Red Bull Racing.
Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari recovered from a 10s stop and go penalty for ignoring yellow flags as the Iceman finished the race in fourth place just ahead of Mercedes Valtteri Bottas.
It was a great race for the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg as the German finished the race in sixth place.
Romain Grosjean had a great race for the Haas F1 Team as he finished the race in eighth place. Felipe Massa had a good race for Williams Martini Racing having been handed a five place grid penalty for a gearbox penalty.
The Brazilian bounced back from that to finish the race in eight place.
Force India’s Esteban Ocon recovered from a disastrous day where he and team mate Sergio Perez clashed twice. Ocon finished the race in ninth place.
Carlos Sainz rounded out the top ten for Toro Rossi. Lance Stroll was left disappointed ad he just missed out on a place in the top ten as he ended the race in 11th place.
Daniil Kvyat finished the race in 12th just ahead of the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Jolyon Palmer finishing the race in 13th place.
Stoffel Vandoorne finished the race in 14th place for McLaren Honda. Kevin Magnusson finished the race in 15th place for the Haas F1 Team.
Marcus is completed the order in 16th place. Sergio Perez was forced to retire from the race following his clash with Esteban Ocon. Fernando Alonso was forced to retire from the race due an engine failure.
Max Verstappen was forced to retire as a result of an engine failure. Pascal Wehrlein also retired from the race.
