Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team’s Lewis Hamilton took a lights to flag victory into day’s Spanish Grand Prix at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya.
The four time world champion led home team mate Valtteri Bottas while Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen completed the podium.
Sebastian Vettel was fourth for Ferrari just ahead of his former Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team mate Daniel Ricciardo.
It was a great race for the Haas F1 Team as Kevin Magnussen came home in sixth just ahead of the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Carlos Sainz while McLaren Renault’s Fernando Alonso finished the race in eight place.
Sergio Pete was ninth for the Sahara Force India Formula One Team while Charles LeClerc rounded out the top ten for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team.
Lance Stroll was left disappointed as he ended the race just outside the points in eleventh place just ahead of Toro Rosso’s Bredon Hartley.
Marcus Ericsson was 13th while Sergey Sirotkin was classified in 14th place.
There were six retirements from the race, McLaren Renault’s Stoffel Vandoorne, Sahara Force India’s Esteban Ocon, Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly, the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg and The Haas F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean.
Grosjean was handed a three place grid penalty for the Monaco Grand Prix in two weeks time for being deemed to have caused the first corner crash involving, Gasly and Hulkenberg.
