Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Lewis Hamilton remained fastest in the second free practice session ahead of Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring on Friday.
The triple world champion set a fastest time of 01:05.483s completing 30 laps ending the day just ahead of championship leader Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.
Valtteri Bottas was third in the second Mercedes just ahead of the Red Bull Racing pairing of Max Verstappen amd Daniel Ricciardo.
Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari ended the day in sixth place just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen who did a fantastic job ending the session in seventh place just ahead of McLaren Honda’s Fernando Alonso.
Nico Hulkenberg was ninth fastest for the Renault Sport F1 Team ending the day just ahead of Romain Grosjean who rounded out the top ten for the Haas F1 Team.
Esteban Ocon was 11th for Force India while McLaren Honda’s Stoffel Vandoorne ended the day in 12th place.
Daniil Kvyat was 13th for Toro Rosso just ahead of Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa who in turn finished the day ahead of Carlos Sainz in the second Toro Roso.
Lance Stroll finished the day in 16th place in the second Williams just ahead of Force India’s Sergio Perez.
Jolyon Palmer was 18th for the Renault Sport F1 Team while the Sauber F1 Team’s Pascal Wehrlein and Marcus Ericsson rounded out the order in 19th and 20th place respectively completing a combined 100 laps for the Swiss outfit.
