Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Lewis Hamilton claimed his 93rd career victory in a dramatic Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Imola circuit as the Brackley based outfit made history winning their seventh consecutive constructors championship

Speaking following the race, Mercedes Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff said he is extremely proud of the team.

Valtteri Bottas came home in second place having taken pole on Saturday however he sufferrd damage on lap seven running over debris from the Racing Point.

It was a great race for Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo who scored a podium for the second time in three races just ahead of Daniil Kvyat and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

BTW Racing Point Formula One Team’s Sergio Perez was sixth just ahead of McLaren Racing’s Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris.

It was a great day for Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN as Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi rounded out the top ten.

Nicholas Latifi came home in eleventh just ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll and Romain Grosjean who was given a 5s penalty.

Alex Albon was 15th. It was a dramatic finish as Max Verstappen retired from the race having been in second place but suffered a rear tyre failure after running over debris.

Kevin Magnussen, George Russell Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly retired from the race.

A safety car helped Lewis Hamilton to take the win late in the race as he managed to make a second stop under the safety car stsyinv in the lead of the race.

Next up is Turkey where Lewis Hamilton just needs to outscore Valtteri Bottas by eight points to win a seventh drivers championship.
