Lewis Hamilton’s fears about a fresh engine scare have been eased by the Mercedes team after his engineers discovered a problem with the fuel system in the W07 following practice on Friday.

The team broke curfew on Friday night to replace the fuel system on Hamilton’s car. The three time world champion will start todays United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas from pole position.

Speaking to Sky Sports F1’s Martin Brundle in an interview to be aired in the build up to the race, Hamilton said that he is conscious of the engine issue but is hopeful a solution can be found.
