Harding Racing are not allowing speculation surrounding their 2019 IndyCar plans get in the way of finishing their 2018 season on a high.
The Main Street, Speedway Indiana based outfit confirmed on Wednesday that Conor Daly will race for the team in the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway this weekend, his third race in a row for the team as they evaluate him for a potential full-time drive alongside Gabby Chaves in 2019.
Harding Racing have been linked with a partnership with Andretti Autosport and McLaren next season that would see the team run Fernando Alonso in one of their cars next season in a venture lead by Harding Racing team president Brian Barnhart.
Team owner Mike Harding has refused to comment on these reports and a Harding Racing spokeswoman has told Paddock Eye that they are just focused on evaluating drivers for a second full-time car in 2019.
Gabby Chaves and Conor Daly have been working extremely well together.
