Harding Steinbrenner Racing and Colton Herta can use their win last weekend at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas last weekend as a platform for further success in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2019.
The team are just two races into their new partnership between businessman Mike Harding and New York Yankees owner Geoerge Steinbrenner.
The team are now powered by Honda and have formed a partnership with Andretti Technologies however there is now ownership of team with Michael Andretti of Andretti Autosport.
Harding Steinbrenner Racing have a fantastic management structure with Mike Harding and George Steinbrenner along with team president Brian Barnhart and driver So Unser Jnr.
The team’s win in Austin is a fantastic endorsement for the NTT IndyCar Series as it just shows everyone that small teams can succeed.
The NTT IndyCar Series is extremely attractive as it gives every team on the grid the opportunity to win races week in, week out.
The hard work that the team at Harding Steinbrenner Racing did over the winter had paid off and they will be hoping that they can carry this momentum forward to the next race at Barber Motorsports Park next weekend and beyond.
From a business point of view the win validates the team’s decision to enter the NTT IndyCar Series full time and will help them to attract new sponsors and give them the opportunity to expand their operation.
Paddock Eye understands that the team are aiming to add a second car for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 26.
If the team do add a second a car it will help them move forward as they would have an extra lot of data to help with car development.
