Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s Colton Herta in the No.88 Latitude Vacation Club Honda looks extremely strong heading into Saturday’s track action at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas.
The 19 year old NTT IndyCar Series rookie missed the afternoon action on Friday having suffered an engine failure in the morning session.
The engineers and team president Brian Barnhart worked extremely hard to get the car turned around for the afternoon warm up which saw Herta back on track and end the session in second place.
Herta has taken to the Circuit Of The Americas like a duck to water and having led the way in two of the four sessions during Spring Training last month he has managed to translate that performance to the action so far.
It will be interesting to see if he can carry this form into qualifying which takes place later today.
