Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey in the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda says he Hope’s the team can replicate their strong result at the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis last season this weekend as the NTT IndyCar Series returns to racing after almost a month off.
The race this weekend marks the first road course event of the season following the season opening Genesys 300 on the Texas Motor Speedway oval.
Harvey who has joined IndyCar full-time in 2020 with Meyer Shank Racing finished on the podium here last year in third place behind race winner Simon Pagenaud of Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon.
Harvey says he hopes that the team can be in a position to challenge for the win on Sunday. Speaking ahead of the race the Englishman said:
The GP was obviously the highlight of our year last season with our first INDYCAR podium, not only for me as a driver but for everyone at Meyer Shank Racing. Naturally, we’re hoping to replicate another great weekend and if we can really string it together, we’d really like to end up on the top step.”
